I really enjoyed reading Dr. Dupree's book. It is concised, yet complete. I was looking for a book on high conflict relationships; I came across Dr. Dupree's book. After reading this book, I am more familiar with the concepts that will prepare me to understand the issues better. This book navigates the reader through concepts in a simple, and engaging way to understand.

Debra does a great job being concise and helpful with some highly complicated topics. Her ideas are a starting point for all of us, in understanding ourselves and others. We are a complicated mixture of our biology and our past and what we tell ourselves really matters.

In her well-written ebook, Dr. Dupree helps the reader to gain a new, deeper perspective about emotional intelligence and emotional potential. Across 4 chapters, the concepts are nicely structured and explored. What stood out most for me were these two statements. "Understanding the cognitions, behaviors, and reactions (aka the psychology) behind differences is vital when dealing with people in any walk of life." "People not only hear the expression of empathy but experience the impact of compassionate behavior."
Other readers will find their best-liked passage. A great quick read I love to recommend.
